Résumé

The ejector technology has the potential to significantly improve the energy efficiency of various processes. However, successful utilization of an ejector into an industrial system requires the knowledge to come up with an ejector design leading to high performance. To increase our comprehension of ejector operation, a prototype allowing the measurement of pressure inside the ejector body was used, and a CFD model was developed. The prototype and the CFD model were used to determine the pressure pattern inside three different ejectors. This work, showing good agreement of experimental and CFD results, highlighted the fact
that the pressure at the inlet of the mixing section is constant for exit pressures below the critical point, and then increases while the entrainment ratio decreases.
