Summary

A computational tool has been developed for long-term simulations of solar adsorption cooling applications. The entire thermal system is considered, by resolving numerically the heat and mass transfer in the building, the adsorption chiller, the solar collectors and the thermal energy storage. A case study for a solar cooled office in Barcelona is presented. An activation/deactivation control strategy is proposed for the operation of the system.
