Type of article: Article
Summary
A THERMODYNAMICAL ANALYSIS OF A REVERSED CYCLE SYSTEM POWERED BY A GAS ENGINE IS PRESENTED. THIS SYSTEM SATISFIES ELECTRICAL HEATING AND COOLING LOADS. AN ENERGETIC AND EXERGETIC ANALYSIS FOR THE PROPOSED PLANT IS DEVELOPED, SHOWING ITS BETTER EFFICIENCY IF COMPARED WITH TRADITIONAL SOLUTIONS. A DESIGN PROCEDURE FOR THE ECONOMIC OPTIMIZATION HAS BEEN SET UP. AN APPLICATION EXAMPLE IS PRESENTED THAT SHOWS THE ECONOMIC ADVANTAGES.
