Type of article: Article

Summary

Purification of 300 m3 of mixture is performed at P= 2-5 megapascals in three stages: water and carbon dioxide admixtures removal by adsorption at environmental temperature; low-temperature condensation with the mixture cooled to 68 K and removal of the main bulk of oxygen and nitrogen; and cleaning of residual admixtures of oxygen, nitrogen and carbon monoxide with low-temperature adsorption at T= 68-70 K. The paper discusses practical diagrams for the purification stages, evaluating them to select the most effective procedures and the characteristics of each one.
