Summary

The objectives of textile air conditioning are to ensure proper functioning and high productivity of the machine inventory and to provide comfortable working conditions for the personnel. The main parameters to be controlled are humidity, temperature, and the purity of the air. Outdoor and indoor conditions are discussed, and the application limits of simple humidification plants established. After a general description of the basic lay-out of a textile air conditioning plant, the specific characteristics of its principal components are discussed: air washer, heaters, fans, filtration systems, air outlets and the room air flow conditions.
