Investigation of a refrigerated ceiling with different ventilation systems.

[In German. / En allemand.]

Summary

These studies have been carried out with a refrigerated ceiling in the Technical Laboratory of External Condition of the Technical University of Offenburg in order to assess the efficiency of elimination of toxic matters, respecting the thermal comfort and by the use of different air duct systems: source outlet, ceiling outlet and floor outlet. The results indicate that there are no significant advantages of one system in particular. According to the choice of the external conditions for the investigation, the cooling capacities which can be achieved are wider in the case of a system combination than in comparison to witness systems. Taking into account the maximal available cooling capacity by the two systems, the combination refrigerated ceiling with outlet on the ceiling is the best.
