Cryomicroscope for the cryopreservation of isolated myocardium cells.

[In German. / En allemand.]

Summary

Thanks to the cryomicroscope it is possible to easily develop cryopreservation methods of isolated cells, because the behaviour of the cells can be observed directly during cooling and reheating. The cryomicroscopes are optical microscopes with a sample configuration so that they can be subjected to given temperatures and temperature curves. A new cryomicroscope with different temperature control methods for the cryopreservation of isolated myocardium cells is presented. A preservation protocol is presented allowing for the first time the vital cryopreservation of isolated myocardium cells. At present the survival rate is only of some percents.
