Case study on DHC system incorporating advanced absorption heat pumps.

Summary

A case study on a district heating and cooling system incorporating an advanced ammonia-water absorption heat pump is presented. The purpose of this study is to evaluate by computer simulation, how much primary energy consumption, environmental effects can be reduced, if the advanced absorption heat pumps under development are incorporated into district heating and cooling (DHC) system in combination with a conventional compression heat pump and water-lithium bromide absorption heat pumps.
