Defrost efficiency in a no-frost-type household refrigerator.

Author(s) : ÖZYURT B., KARATAS H., INAN C., et al.

Summary

The idea is to use fresh air (from the refrigeration compartment) which is at about 5 °C, to defrost the evaporator, during the compressor off periods. Several systems were evaluated, including combinations of heaters and air defrosting, on both evaporators (refrigeration and freezer compartments).
