Summary

In the paper, the authors present the system design of a set of miniature pulse tube cryocoolers (PTCs) developed and fabricated. The PTCs are driven by a linear motor-driven compressor, which is supported by the flexure springs. The U-shape configuration is adapted to the pulse tube cold head, which is coupled with the compressor. The design goal is of providing 0.5 W cooling power at 80 K, with input power less than 40 W.
