UNEP assistance in phasing out HCFC: what you can do to help developing countries to go beyond only 'compliance'?

Author(s) : CLARK E.

Summary

This presentation provides a brief overview of the activities of UNEP Division of Technology, Industry and Economics (DTIE) OzonAction Branch in assisting developing countries and countries with economies in transition (CEITs) to comply with their commitments to the Montreal Protocol. Two projects will be described: the 'HCFC help centre' and an EC funded project, both of which provide policy and technology advice and information to expedite compliance with the HCFC phase-out obligations and at the same time to adopt environmentally friendly alternatives. You are also invited you to share your technological and policy information with UNEP for the dissemination in developing countries.
