Author(s) : ZHANG T. L., LIU D. M., SHEN J., et al.

Summary

This compound was prepared by means of mechanical alloying and subsequent spark plasma sintering technique. X-ray diffraction analysis and refinement show that the compound crystallizes in the Fe2P-type hexagonal structure, with minor MnO impurity. DSC data display that the Curie temperature of the compound in the cooling and warming process is 258.5 and 262.5 K, respectively; hence, the thermal hysteresis of the phase transition is 4 K. The magnetic entropy change obtained for a field change of 0-5 T is 26 J/kgK.
