Summary

To resolve the buzz occurred in an air-conditioning system, the effects of the various components in an A type of rotary compressor on the low frequency vibration have been studied based on the modal sensitivity analysis in this paper. The modal frequency and modal shape were identified via the FEM simulation when the resonance appeared. The connection between the accumulator and the rotary compressor was optimized. Four-point welding was adopted between accumulator bracket and the compressor, the aim was to increase modal frequency so that the resonance could be avoided. The optimized structure was verified to be reasonable through modal and system tests. A feasible method was supposed in the paper to solve the low frequency noise problem of the rotary compressors.
