Summary

Performance measurements of a single stage absorption heat transformer have been recently conducted at the laboratories of TU Berlin [1]. The heat transformer is based on an absorption chiller design modified in order to be able to work as a heat pump of Type I or Type II. At nominal conditions the heat transformer is able to revaluate heat from 90°C up to 130°C using a heat sink with 25°C.
