Summary

In this study, by utilizing the low energy desorption process of microemulsion and sensible cooling with a solution heat exchanger in the absorption cycle, the desorber heat input is much lowered and the condenser is eliminated from the absorption cycle. When this microemulsion/water separation principle is applied to the desorber of the single-effect absorption cycle, its COP is expected to be tripled.
