Summary

ALTHOUGH THE ACCURATE NUMBER OF FRENCH ROAD VEHICLES UNDER CONTROLLED TEMPERATURE IS NOT KNOWN, IT SEEMS THAT IN THE YEAR 1987 THERE WAS A CERTAIN DEVELOPMENT, CORRESPONDING TO AN INCREASE IN THE CONSUMPTION OF FROZEN FOODS. THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF VEHICLES ARE REVIEWED (INSULATED, REFRIGERATED, MECHANICALLY REFRIGERATED). THE SELECTION CRITERIA OF A VEHICLE AS A FUNCTION OF TRANSPORT REQUIREMENTS ARE GIVEN. THE PROBLEM OF TOWN DELIVERY IS STUDIED. THE EXISTING OR EXPECTED NOVELTIES ARE REVIEWED FOR BODIES AND REFRIGERATING UNITS, THERMAL ENGINES AND ENERGY ECONOMIZERS. J.L.
