Summary

METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE MEAN TEMPERATURE AND THE ENTHALPY CHANGE DURING COOLING (OR REWARMING) OFSOLIDS OF VARIOUS CONFIGURATIONS. THE 3 CLASSICAL ONE-DIMENSIONAL BODIES ARE STUDIED (INFINITE PLATE, INFINITE CYLINDER, SPHERE), AS WELL AS VARIOUS AND COMPLICATED MULTIDIMENSIONAL BODIES, UNDER SEVERAL CONDITIONS DETERMINING HEAT TRANSFER. FORMULAE OF NUMERICAL INTEGRATION ARE DEDUCED, WHICH ARE APPROPRIATE FOR DIRECT ALGORITHMS AND FOR COMPUTER APPLICATIONS. THE CALCULATIONS MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO PREDICT THE ENERGY CONSUMPTION IN NON-STATIONARY CONDUCTIVE HEAT TRANSFER PROCESSES WHICH HAVE A COMPLICATED EVOLUTION IN SPACE AND TIME. A RAPID APPLICATION METHOD IS ESTABLISHED FOR THE MOST FREQUENT CASES IN PRACTICE. J.R.
