TEMPERATURE DRIVING FORCES AND ENERGY COSTS OF REFRIGERATION INSTALLATIONS.

Summary

A MODEL IS DESCRIBED WHICH MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO PREDICT THE ENERGY COSTS OF COLD ROOMS. THIS MODEL ALLOWS THE QUANTITATIVE COMPARISON OF THESE COSTS FOR PLANT OPERATING WITH TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN 4 AND 12 K. THUS IT IS POSSIBLE TO CALCULATE THE EFFECT OF THE TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE AIR ENTERING THE AIR COOLER AND THE EVAPORATOR TEMPERATURE ON THE RELATIVE HUMIDITY WITHIN THE COLD ROOM.
