Résumé

As the climate changes have happened worldwide, every country is making efforts to prevent the ozone depletion and global warming. In the automotive industry, R-134a refrigerant is widely used in these days because it has zero ozone depletion potential. But global warming potential of it is high. Therefore, alternative refrigerants are needed as a replacement of R-134a. R-152a is considered as one of the alternatives due to zero ODP and low GWP. In the paper, performances of the automotive air-conditioning system using R-134a and R-152a are compared experimentally in the bench level. Experimental apparatus simulated real automotive air-conditioning system consisting of cabin room and engine room. Cooling capacity, condensing capacity, COP and power consumption characteristics of automotive air-conditioning system are evaluated by changing air velocity entering the condenser and compressor revolution speed with the optimized refrigerant charge. The performance of R-152a system was investigated by changing the thermostatic expansion valve set values. As a result of the study, R-152a refrigerant shows the possibility of an alternative refrigerant of current R-134a in the automotive air-conditioning system.
