Comparaison de deux approches différentes pour modéliser les aspects dynamiques de la soupape d'aspiration d'un compresseur hermétique à piston.

Comparison of two different approaches to model the suction valve dynamics of a hermetic reciprocating compressor.

Résumé

This paper compares two different approaches to model the valve dynamics (suction valve) of a small reciprocating compressor in computational fluid dynamic simulations. The first evaluated method uses a one-degree-of-freedom approach to describe the movement of the valve. In this approach the geometry of the valve is abstracted as a thin flat plate, which moves along the cylinder axis. The second approach uses a finite element method to account for the interaction of the governing flow field and the movement of the valve. In the second approach almost all geometrical simplifications for the valve have been avoided. The p-v diagrams for both approaches have been evaluated and the differences in the results have been worked out. To identify the practical relevance of these two different approaches the numerical efforts of the methods are compared.
