Résumé

The main obstacle of using hydrogen (H2) for transport applications are to make the safe storage and transport of the H2. One of the technologies for safe H2 storage is physisorption of H2 onto nanoporous materials. This work was conducted on the H2 adsorption at 1 bar and 77 K onto a newly developed spherical activated carbon (SAC) with the large surface area. In addition, the results of H2 adsorption (wt%) with total pore volume, surface area, and micropore volume have been discussed. It has been concluded that this newly developed SAC material can be used for H2 storage purposes.
