Résumé

As global demand for data exchange grows, so too does the size and load place on data centers, placing unprecedented constraints on space and power available to the operator. Data centers are dedicated facilities which support business critical IT servers. Tightly packed server racks are generating exponentially more computer power and most of this is converted into rejected heat. Hence a flexible, high efficiency range of cooling solutions which optimizes the performance of the equipment, as well as managing the environmental impact of the data centre are highly needed by IT industry. The data center industry is growing rapidly and is focusing more and more on efficiency and maximum uptime. With more capacity and higher density there is a need for energy efficient cooling of the IT equipments as shown in this study. Good agreement was found between the simulated results and obtained project data.
