Augmentation des prix des HFC (en anglais)
Chemours, Mexichem and Arkema ont annoncé 10 à 15% d'augmentation sur les prix des HFC à partir du 1er janvier 2016. (en anglais)
Chemours, Mexichem and Arkema have announced a 10-15% rise in cost of several HFCs from 1st January 2016.
Chemours has announced price increases for six of its refrigerants including a rise of 15% for 404A. Effective from 1st January 2016, or as permitted by contractual commitments, the price increases in the EU are in reaction to the “F-Gas” Regulation, which reduces the amount of HFCs that can be placed on the EU market, on a CO2-equivalent basis, by 7% as compared to 2015.
At the same time, refrigerant manufacturer Mexichem Fluor announces rises across all its Klea range, from January 1st 2016.
Prices will increase by 15% for the highest-GWP blends (R404A and R507) and 10% across R134a, R407A, R407C and R410A. According to the company, the rise is to allow continued investment in developing new HFO products, in addition to reflecting lower availability due to quota reductions under the EU “F-Gas” Regulation.
Arkema has been the latest manufacturer to announce price increases across its range of refrigerants from 1st January. The increases, which affect packaged and bulk-grade sales of its Forane-brand gas in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, add 10% to the cost of R134a and 15% across its range of blends. Forane refrigerant blends include R404A, R407A, R407C, R408A, R409A, R410A, R427A and R507A.
