Briefs: Prof. Geoffrey Haselden

Prof. Geoffrey Haselden, past President of the IOR and Honorary Member of the IIR, died on February 2007, at the age of 82. He had been Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Leeds, UK, and President of IIR Commission A2 (1972-1979) and first vice-President of the Executive Committee of the IIR (1979-1987). The IIR offers its sincere condolences to his family.
