Briefs: Robert Heap

Robert Heap, President of the IIR Science and Technology Council, has won the famous Cooling Industry Gold Award. He was rewarded for his "enormous contribution to the industry's development" thanks to "his work on heat pumps, energy efficiency and system safety that has championed a practical environmental awareness". His responsibility in the successful organization of the IIR-Gustav Lorentzen Conference on Natural Working Fluids in Glasgow was stressed. The IIR congratulates Robert Heap for this highly deserved distinction.
