This European project – which aims at development and dissemination of cost-effective strategies designed to improve energy efficiency in cooling systems in the food and drink sector – involves 9 partners including the IIR, which is a member of the Communication and Dissemination Committee.
A list of 25 refrigeration plants in this sector has been defined in order to perform energy audits through acquisition of real data regarding energy consumption and analysing of the performance after implementation of improvements in their cooling systems. The methodology of these audits was discussed.
