Décès du Professeur Vesselin Tassev Kovachev
Le Professeur Vesselin Tassev Kovachev, ancien membre de la Commission A1 de l'IIF, est décédé le 23 novembre dernier.
Prof. Vesselin Tassev Kovachev (born 16 July 1940) a renowned Bulgarian scientist and longtime member of the Scientific Council of the International Laboratory of Superconductivity and Superconducting Materials at the Institute of Solid Sate Physics of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, passed away on 23 November 2015.
He was a valued member of IIR Commission A1 - Cyrophysics, Cryoengineering, internationally recognised for his outstanding achievements and contributions to the academic and scientific communities. His research focused on, amongst others, energy dissipation in superconductors.
A pioneer in his field and a friend to many, Prof. Kovachev will be greatly missed.
