AHRI fournit des données mensuelles sur les équipements de chauffage et de refroidissement expédiés par les fabricants américains sur le marché américain. Les données couvrent les deux mois précédant le mois de leur publication. Ainsi, les données de janvier 2026 ont été publiées en mars 2026.
The Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) provides monthly data on the volume of heating and cooling equipment shipped by US manufacturers into the US market. Their latest shipment data report covered the month of January 2026, with year-to-date comparisons with January 2025.
According to AHRI, US shipments of central air conditioners and air-source heat pumps totalled 440,819 units in January 2026, down – 29.2 % from the 622,901 units shipped in January 2025.
The AHRI statistics team defines a shipment as when a unit transfers ownership; a consignment is not a transfer of ownership. Industry data is aggregated from the information supplied by AHRI member companies that participate in the statistics program and can be subject to revision. AHRI’s 300+ member companies account for more than 90% of the residential and commercial air conditioning, space heating, water heating, and commercial refrigeration equipment manufactured and sold in North America.
