Etats-Unis: intensification de la recherche sur l'inflammabilité des frigorigènes
AHRI a établi un sous-comité chargé de conduire une synthèse des problèmes de sécurité liés aux frigorigènes légèrement inflammables.
. AHRI has set up a subcommittee to conduct a review of the safety issues around mildly flammable refrigerants, to complete the necessary research, and share the results with regulators and standard developers.
With the growing use of A2L “mildly flammable” refrigerants (notably HFC-32, HFO-1234yf and HFO-1234zeE), further research is needed in order to provide scientific results necessary to support the safe use of these refrigerants.
The Flammable Refrigerants Subcommittee will determine gaps in existing flammable refrigerant research. It aims to help industry understand the comparative risk of using A2L refrigerants with those used today. goo.gl/pHBLZy
. ASHRAE has awarded the University of Maryland’s Department of Fire Protection Engineering a USD 195,000 grant to support research on accuracy and reproducibility of ASTM E681.
ASTM E681 test is essential in determining whether a refrigerant is mildly flammable (A2L) or not flammable (A1).
