International activities

The IIR must play a visible role at various international events. As an intergovernmental organization, the IIR will participate in the coming major international events organized by the United Nations: - the 18th Meeting of the Parties (MOP-18) to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer, which will take place in New Delhi, India, on October 30- November 3, 2006; - the second meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (COP/MOP-2), in conjunction with the twelfth session of the Conference of the Parties to the Climate Change Convention (COP 12), in Nairobi on November 6-17, 2006. At these 2 events, Didier Coulomb will present a statement on the role and the actions of the refrigeration sector regarding ozone depletion and global warming.
