The frozen food market consists of the retail sale of frozen fish, seafood, meat products, potato products, vegetables, fruit, pizza, ready meals, bakery products and desserts. The market is valued according to the retail selling price (RSP) and includes all applicable taxes. Any currency conversions used in the creation have been calculated using 2012 constant annual average exchange rates.

According to a new market research report proposed by ReportLinker, the Belgian frozen food market had total revenues of USD 1,342.8 million in 2012, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.4% between 2008 and 2012.

Market consumption volumes increased with a CAGR of 2.7% between 2008 and 2012, to reach a total of 229.1 million kg in 2012.

The performance of the market is forecast to decelerate, with an anticipated CAGR of 3.1% for the five-year period 2012 - 2017, which is expected to drive the market to a value of USD 1,562.8 million by the end of 2017.
