Un rapport de Bonafide Research publié en 2016 révèle que le marché des légumes surgelés représentait à lui seul 31 % du marché des denrées surgelées dans son intégralité et qu'il est censé gagner encore davantage de terrain dans l'avenir.

The category is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 17.65% over next six years due to changed lifestyle, year round availability and price stability of frozen vegetables. India has been bestowed with wide range of climate and physio-geographical conditions which ensures availability of most kind of vegetables.
India is the second largest producer of vegetables (162.19 Million tonnes) in the world, contributing 14% of the total world production of vegetables. Out of this total production, only 2% of vegetables are being processed or frozen. In frozen vegetables market, green peas is the most popular frozen processed vegetable bought across India followed by mixed green vegetables and corn.
