According to the article The role of humidification and dehumidification in HVAC&R1 published on March 16, 2017 on the South African website HVAC&R online, humidification and dehumidification are often grouped in the same category. But even if they both deal with the control of humidity, their applications are quite different. Those differences, but also some common mistakes made when selecting a humidifier or a dehumidifier, and a few advice about the maintenance of these devices are developed in the article.
