Engie (formerly GDF SUEZ) LNG Solutions has opened the first Liquefied Natural Gas filling station for trucks at Leeuwarden in the north of the Netherlands.

Dutch local and regional authorities encourage clean commercial transportation. LNG fuel reduces CO2, fine particulate and nitrogen oxides emission.

Considered by Engie as more economical, this gas offers an alternative to diesel. Fifteen other LNG stations will be developed by Engie LNG Solutions in the country.
