Refrigerant news: The price of HFC-134a is increasing

DuPont Fluoroproducts announced a 10% global price increase for its bulk HFC-134a refrigerant, effective on shipments after December 1, 2009. Increasing raw material costs led to the price increase, which applies to all HFC-134a bulk product sold in applications including automotive air conditioning, stationary air conditioning, stationary refrigeration and foam expansion.
