Ruskim Seafoods Company is testing Back-Stop, a new insulated-curtain system for refrigerated trucks in partnership with Seymour Manufacturing International.
The system consists of four insulated flexible barriers which can be moved by hand to any position, held by a magnet. The curtains are fitted on a sliding bar mounted below the truck ceiling.
This concept allows moveable multi-temperature zones in the vehicle and makes the carriage of a wider variety of food possible. It also enables reduced energy losses by retaining the chill that comes from the back of the vehicle. An automated version is also available.
