1ère conférence sur l'adaptation et la résilience climatiques par l'Institution britannique des ingénieurs en mécanique

The UK Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) are convening their 1^st International Conference and Workshop on Climate Adaptation and Resilience in London (UK) on September 6 – 8, 2023.

The event features plenary sessions, panel discussions and three parallel tracks throughout, one of which addresses the issue of “Heat Impact and Drought” across multiple sectors and refrigeration is sure to be a strong topic of discussion.

Keynotes include an address from:

• David Hill, Director-General for Environment, Rural and Marine at the UK government’s Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra);
• Professor Toby Peters, Centre for Sustainable Cooling at Birmingham University, on "The hot reality: living in a 50°C world"; and
• Professor Jim Hall, University of Oxford, Commissioner of the UK’s National Infrastructure Commission.
