Résumé

A history of this laboratory covering the period since the establishment in 1904 until the end of the Second World War, i.e. 1945, has been presented in this first part of the paper (see also this Bulletin, reference 2006-0472). The very unique historical figures are presented in the paper. The technical and experimental equipment as well as the successive stages of the development of the laboratory building are presented.
