Résumé

An ejector can transform the expansion energy of the driving flow into the pressure buildup energy of the suction flow. Therefore, by utilizing the ejector instead of the expansion valve for the absorption cycle, the performance of the cycle can be greatly improved because irreversibility loss of the cycle decreases. This paper discusses the characteristics of the inner workings in the ejector for working fluids NH3 + H20 and LiBr + H2O, as well as some difference in performance of absorption systems by each working fluid by simulation. As a result, for example, at ejector efficiency 90%, when working fluids are NH3 + H2O, the COP of the cycle with the ejector in both the refrigerant and solution path is about 6.5% higher than that of the conventional cycle at design point. LiBr+H2O absorption cycle with the ejector showed effect of performance improvement on the cycle with ejector in solution path can be scarcely obtained because suction flow ratio has to be very low value 0.008 to drive system.
