Amélioration de la performance à charge partielle des compresseurs monovis : réduction asymétrique de la charge.

Improved part load performance of single screw compressors: asymmetric unloading.

Auteurs : CREED J.

Résumé

Single screw compressors have been successfully applied to the refrigeration and air conditioning industries by J&E Hall since their commercial development in the 1970’s. The mechanism is unique in that its consists of two parallel compression processes. Capacity control of the machine is achieved by varying the timing and period of both compression mechanisms. Traditional designs typically couple the control of the two compression processes, to provide a capacity range of 25-100%, by de-coupling the two mechanisms and allowing independent operation, a new performance characteristic is produced. This new machine, the “Asymmetric compressor”, offers improved part load efficiencies and the opportunity to cost effectively meet rising ESEER standards.
