Résumé

This paper took a shopping center building in central Taiwan as study case, and used dynamic simulation software eQUEST as tool. A model was built based on the existing air-conditioning system of the building. The number of hosts was changed and provided with different chilled water systems to analyze the effect on the annual energy consumption of the building. For model building, there were two 750RT centrifugal chillers and a PS chilled water system. The system control mode was constant primary flow/constant secondary flow. The built model was used as the reference point of comparison. The simulation used three quantities of chillers, including one set of 1500RT, two sets of 750RT and three sets of 500RT, and four systems, including PS system constant primary flow/constant secondary flow, PS system constant primary flow/variable secondary flow, constant primary flow system and variable primary flow system. There were 12 configuration modes for comparison. The result showed that the combination of three 500RT chillers and variable primary flow system has the best energy-saving effect. The overall energy consumption of air-conditioning system can be reduced by 16.48%, the energy-saving effect is significant.
