Type d'article : Article
Résumé
Several regions around the world are being visited by heat waves this year. Europe is expected to have a hotter-than-usual summer this year, following the hot weather experienced last year. Room air conditioners (RACs) started selling in Southern Europe earlier in the year and demand rose dramatically. Southeast Asia saw several strings of hot days starting in April, which boosted RAC sales so much that there were temporary runs on inventory. North America, which saw cooler weather in some regions last summer, is now being hit by heat waves, and demand for ductless split systems is rising sharply. China, the world’s largest air conditioner market, is still experiencing a slowdown but RAC demand appears to be up slightly from last year.
