Résumé

The comparison of different concepts for a “thermally driven” solution pump for a single-stage ammonia/water absorption heat pumping system is presented. Various concept of pumps, which are “internally” driven only by a thermodynamic power process within the AHP, have been investigated in order to overcome the drawbacks of conventional electrically driven solution pumps for small-capacity AHPs (<10 kW generator capacity). In order to evaluate the performance of each concept, a steady state model has been set up and analysed at different operating conditions. The results of this theoretical analysis have been compared to each other in order to discuss the influence on the COP and operating-limits according to the required temperature levels. Beside the quantitative simulation results also the design complexity is discussed.
