Résumé

State the Typical Meteorological Year (TMY) for Hong Kong is generated by using the weather data recorded by the Royal Observatory of Hong Kong from the years 1979-1988. Compiles the weather data of the chosen typical year in TMY format. Uses this TMY to simulate the building energy loads in a higher education institute in Hong Kong using the energy simulation program BLAST. Compares the results with the building energy loads of all the years from 1979 to 1988. Concludes the TMY weather data may therefore be used as the weather database for energy simulation software for Hong Kong.
