Applied flow and contaminant diffusion models to evaluate the indoor air quality in rooms.

Résumé

The inlet/outlet arrangement and the partition are the important factors exists
simultaneously in a working site. In order to simulate the real working environment, this
paper uses diffusion model and airflow network models together to predict the general
ventilation in the workplace. The prediction results are compared with the measurements in
a full scale test chamber. In addition to understand the combined effects of inlet/outlet
arrangement and the partition to the general ventilation, the comparison results are also usetu
to find the feasibility and limitation of the individual model. The particle resident time was
used as the evaluation criteria in this investigation. The performance of the genera venti ation
will be evaluated based on the parameters ot residence time distribution.
