Describes in some detail proposed energy supply measures for the German Parliament buildings, which include: decentralised block heat and power stations; vegetable oil as "biodiesel"; two mutually independent aquifers-energy stores; seasonal storage of surplus block combined heat and power waste heat; use of winter environmental cold for direct cooling of the buildings in summer; storage of refrigeration plant waste heat to use as a heat source for heat pumps in winter; photovoltaic energy.
