Résumé

This paper proposes a reduction method of the cogging torque of rotary magnetic refrigeration system by employing a magnetic band. The magnetic band is solidified mixture of iron particles and polymer micro-beads. This band is located between magnetocaloric materials to reduce variation of magnetic reluctance while rotor of the system rotates. Firstly, available magnetic permeabilities of the magnetic band material is experimentally examined by using a toroidal coil. Then, the system is numerically analyzed by changing permeabilities of the magnetocaloric material and the magnetic band to check the cogging torque. Using the results of numerical analysis, a target permeability of the magnetic band is determined to minimize cogging torque. The magnetic band with the target permeability is made and experiment is performed to reduce cogging torque of the system.
