Résumé
Sorption systems are important tools for utilization of fossil energy, waste heat, and renewable thermal sources. The performance of a sorption system is largely dependent on the equilibrium vapor pressure of the sorbate under the operating conditions. This vapor pressure can be calculated using equilibrium equation of state for the working pair given the temperature and concentration/loading. The equilibrium equation of state is a fundamental property of each sorption working pair, and it is agnostic to application and heat source. Numerous studies have been published formulating the equilibrium equation of state for various sorption working pairs
from experimental measurements. However, these equilibrium equations of state are scattered in many literature sources, and they are often published in studies covering only one (or a few) working pair(s). Therefore, it takes considerable effort to pinpoint the desired correlation for a working pair in a specific functional form. Moreover, a great diversity of terminologies and conventions can be found among different literatures. This has created challenges for implementing correlations of multiple working pair and finding the optimal candidate for particular applications by computer simulation. To address these challenges, this study created a readily usable database of isotherms for both absorption and adsorption working pairs that can be easily indexed to point to the desired correlation and original literature, as well as conveniently implemented for computer simulation.
