Résumé

Noise generated by refrigerant in refrigeration systems (e.g., air conditioners, refrigerators) is a critical issue that significantly compromises user comfort in residential, automotive, and office environments. Although many countries have established sound pressure level (SPL) standards for refrigeration system noise, recent years have
exposed notable limitations in these regulations, with a growing number of consumer complaints highlighting the urgency for improved solutions. This study synthesizes current advancements in refrigerant-induced noise research, focusing on the mechanisms of two-phase flow-induced noise generation, structural design-related noise sources in refrigeration components, and effective noise reduction strategies. Furthermore, it underscores the imperative to refine noise evaluation frameworks, assess acoustic impacts of next-generation refrigerants, and develop predictive noise classification models. Addressing these challenges is essential not only for mitigating refrigerant-induced noise levels and enhancing user satisfaction but also for accelerating the adoption of eco-friendly refrigerants. Such efforts will drive the refrigeration industry toward cleaner, sustainable practices and align with global sustainability goals.
