Résumé

Restrictions and limitations of applicability of TEWI are highlighted. A detailed method for TEWI calculation for refrigerated transport containers is presented, including the need for particular additional equipment tests. Examples of the use of the method are presented based on typical expected refrigerant unit performance. The sensitivity of the method to assumptions about use pattern, leakage rate and refrigerant choice is examined and discussed.
